Malaysia's Vision 2020 Challenges

According to Wikipedia, "Wawasan 2020 or Vision 2020 is a Malaysian ideal introduced by the former prime minister of Malaysia Mahathir Bin Mohamad during the tabling of the Sixth Malaysia Plan in 1991. The vision calls for a self-sufficient industrial, Malaysian-centric developed nation, complete with an economy, in 2020 that will be eightfold stronger than the economy of the early 1990s." 

They are nine challenges that Malaysia must overcome to actually realize the Vision 2020:

Challenge 1: To form a nation that stands as one - Have we overcome this? In this country, the citizens don't stand as one or Malaysian. They stand as Malay, Chinese,or Indian as if they still come from Indonesia, China or India.

Challenge 2: To produce a Malaysian community that has freedom, strength, and full of self confidence - With Internal Security Act (ISA), not-so-free press and media, police misuse of power, SRP's disintegrity, shall I dare to say that i still have freedom, strength and confidence, with the fears around me?

Challenge 3: To develop a mature democratic community - we could have a new government, if we don't have gerrymandering here. 

Challenge 4: To form a community that has high morale, ethics and religious strength - What are high morale to us, when the politicians should do something about our economic instead of hammering each other. 

Challenge 5: To cultivate a community that is matured and tolerant - Hmmm...

Challenge 6: To form a progressive science community - We cannot even decide what language to use in Science, let alone progressive.

Challenge 7: To cultivate a community rich in values and loving culture - No comment

Challenge 8: To ensure the formation of a community with a fair economy - NEP? 30%? Fair? Hello, we are all Malaysians. Not only one race is Malaysian.

Challenge 9: To cultivate a prosperous community - RM1.7 million trip to Disneyland, house in Australia, private jets. Very funny.

We still have 11 more years to go, and if we still don't change our corrupted dirty politicians (not only AMNO but the rest of the politic parties as well), we shall wait until 3030 (exaggerating , lol)
